Ted Lucas was a Southern Oregon singer-songwriter who just recorded one record in 1975. At one point Ted had a job as Motown’s “exotic string specialist,” playing balalaika, sitar, acoustic 6- or 12-string guitar and more on records by musicians like Stevie Wonder and The Temptations. Ted also formed a number of bands including The Spike Drivers, The Misty Wizards, The Horny Toads, Ted Lucas & the Phasers, The Androids and Boogie Disease. His solo music is as homemade and intimate as it comes.
