This is the first recording of Sávila, a DIY folk/psych/Cumbia band from Portland. They sometimes perform with elaborate abstract stage sets and puppets. Guitarist Fabi Reyna has been playing in Portland rock bands since age 13 and is the founder and editor of She Shreds Magazine, a publication dedicated to shedding light on women and gender-nonconforming guitarists. Percussionist Papi Fimbres has played in literally hundreds of bands in the Northwest, ranging in style from punk to hip hop to avant-garde. Singer Brisa Gonzalez is a multimedia artist and puppeteer who used to work as a clown at the Ringling Brothers Circus.
